Duurzame Oplossingen

Duurzaam is niets nieuws voor Stonhard. Al meer dan 30 jaar zijn wij innovators op het gebied van duurzaamheid.

Sinds Juni 2005 heeft Stonhard ervoor gezorgd dat 92,7% van het teruggekomen materiaal, inclusief gestopte productlijnen en verouderde producten, hergebruikt werd in plaats van de afvalstroom in ging. De unieke manier van verpakken van Stonhard voorkomt dat er jaarlijks meer dan 20 miljoen kilo emmers en blikken in de afvalstroom terecht komt.

Al meer dan 10 jaar loost de productie faciliteit van Stonhard in Maple Shade, New Jersey, geen afvalwater in het gemeente riool.

GROENE PRODUCTEN

Stonblend GSI-G: Epoxy mortelvloer gebruikt gerecyclede glas stukjes in de vloer voor een stijlvolle uitstraling en als duurzame oplossing.

Stonclad GR-G: Epoxy mortelvloer waarbij gebruik gemaakt wordt van gerecycled materiaal.

Stonclad G2: Een vier componenten, polyurethane mortelvloer waar post-industrieel gerecycled glas in zit en waarbij gebruik gemaakt wordt van duurzame materialen in de samenstelling.

STONHARD LOODVRIJ

Omdat gezondheidsrisico's geassocieerd worden met lood- en chroom samenstelling, is het op loodsulfochromaat gebaseerde gele pigment geheel verwijderd uit ons productieproces.

WIJ ZIJN GROEN

Stonhard maakt geen gebruik meer van chroomoxide als groen pigment in sommige Stonhard producten, wat deze producten nu milieuvriendelijk maakt.

ONTWIKKELING VAN NIEUWE PRODUCTEN

Meer dan 90% van de nieuw ontwikkelde producten of de vernieuwing van bestaande producten is gericht op het gebruik van op water gebaseerde urethaan of 100% op epoxy gebaseerde formules. Deze inspanning zorgt niet alleen voor veiligere vloeren en coating voor zowel industriële en commerciële markten, maar zorgt ook voor minder gevaarlijk afval.

HOW TO ACHIEVE LEED CERTIFICATION WITH STONHARD

A long-term solution with a long life cycle – Stonhard flooring systems can be used to rehabilitate an existing building and lessen the need for new facilities. Stonhard flooring systems significantly cut down on job-site waste and our crews can follow any and all on-site disposal plans. Further reduce waste up to 85% through Stonhard’s unique packaging that minimizes metal can waste and has premeasured amounts for ease of mixing and disposal.
